Heating & A/C
Cold air in July and heat in January. We find the leak before we fill it, so the refrigerant stays in the system instead of going into the air.
Heating and A/C
Comfort, both directions
Edmonton asks a car to do forty below and thirty above in the same year. Both ends of that run through the same few parts, and both are worth sorting out before the season turns.
Air conditioning
Air conditioning does not get used up. If it is blowing warm then something is leaking or something has failed, and topping it up without finding the leak just puts your money in the air.
- Performance and pressure testing
- UV dye and electronic leak detection
- Evacuate and recharge
- Compressors, clutches and belts
- Condensers, evaporators and lines
- Expansion valves and orifice tubes
- Controls and electrical faults
Heat & defrost
Warm air that never quite arrives is usually coolant, a thermostat or a heater core. A windshield that will not clear is a safety problem before it is a comfort one.
- Heater cores and hoses
- Thermostats and coolant flushes
- Blower motors and resistors
- Blend doors and actuators
- Defrost and vent faults
- Cabin air filters
- Block heaters and cords
Before the season turns
The cheapest time to find out the heat is gone is in October. The most expensive is the first morning it hits minus thirty.
- Heating check before winter
- A/C check before summer
- Coolant strength tested
- Belts and hoses inspected
- Cabin filter replaced
- Booked with an oil change
Get the temperature sorted
Warm air in summer or cold air in winter. Bring it in and we will find out which part gave up.
